J. E. "Bud" Douthwright
J. E. "Bud" Douthwright formerly of Moncton, passed
away peacefully, 10 days short of his 92nd birthday, surrounded by his
family at the Salvation Army Lakeview Manor (Riverview) on Saturday,
September 1st, 2012. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late
Harvey and Adelia (Ayles) Douthwright. He was a veteran of World War
II and served with the Royal Canadian Army. Bud was retired from
School District # 15.
Bud will be sadly missed by his loving wife; Winona L. (MacLean), daughters; Kathleen Smith (James) of Lutes Mountain, Linda Vautour (Aurele) of Dieppe and Elsa Sage (Don) of Moncton, sons Alan Douthwright (Brenda) of Lutes Mountain and Glen Douthwright (Joanne) of Moncton, 10 grand children, 11 great grandchildren, 5 great great granchildren, sister Shirley Gallant (Ben) of Moncton and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Bud is predeceased by a son; James Douglas (1949), sisters; Helen Paddock, Jean Geggie, Marjorie Anderson, Peggy Matchett and brothers; Rae, Kenneth, Clarence, Austin and Don.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel, 171 Lutz Street on Tuesday, September 4th, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Elizabeth Wall officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
