Thomas J. Bourque
1923-2021

Thomas J. Bourque, 97, of Dieppe and formerly of Lincoln,
NB; passed away peacefully at Veterans Health Care Centre
(Moncton), on Thursday, February 18th, 2021. Born in
Chatham, NB (September 15,1923) he was the son of the late Henri and
Domethilde (Babineau) Bourque. He was a retired Sawmill worker, Barber
(Fox’s Barber Shop) and Finish Carpenter. He was enlisted in
the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War. He
attended Ste. Thérèse Parish (Dieppe) and was a
former parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi (Lincoln).
Survived by his wife Bella (Duguay)
Bourque; two daughters: Nola Levesque (Lorne) of Fredericton and
Cécile MacLeod (Ron) of Rothesay; three sons: Armand
(Caroline) of Hampton, Leon (Margaret Ann) of Hampton and
Cédric (Carol) of Moncton; step children: Renald Mallais
(Gloria), Daniel LeBreton (Denise) and Liette Cormier (Michel); one
sister Yolande Perry; one brother Elie (Geralda);
sisters-in-law:Claire (Sylvain) Caissie, Irene Maillet, Doris Maillet;
by twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, as well
as many nieces and nephews.
Besides
his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Marguerite (Maillet)
Bourque, four sisters Eva, Regina, Andrea and Lorraine and
three brothers Napoleon, Eloi and Abel.
A special heart felt thank you to the Veterans Health Care Centre
staff for providing exceptional care and love to Thomas.
A private funeral mass will be held at Ste.
Thérèse Church in Dieppe, on Saturday,
February 27, 2021 with Fr. Arthur Bourgeois
officiating.
Interment will be in St.
Francis Assisi Parish Cemetery, Lincoln, NB in the spring.
Donations in Thomas's memory may be made to a charity of the
donor's choice.
