Muriel Emma Pooley of Riverview, NB passed
away at The Salvation Army Lakeview Manor Home on Friday, January 14,
2022 at the age of 96. Born in Moncton she was a daughter of
the late Ernest and Clara (Chappel)
McDuff.
Muriel was an employee of People's Jewelers
for many years and also assisted in logistics of the learn
to skate program. A long time member of St. Paul's United Church in
Riverview and a member of St. Paul's UCW for more than 50
years.
Muriel had many hobbies and interests over
her lifetime including: her beautiful flower gardens, she loved sewing
including many clothes she wore and quality
quilts. Muriel loved dancing and was a dancer in the stage show Around
The Bend. Travelling was another one of her passions, most notably to:
Spain, Fiji and Alaska.
She
will be greatly missed by her children, Sharon Van Der Fluit
(Peter), Kathy Legere (Jerry), Donald (Betty), Heather MacKinnon
(Danny) and Harold (Evelyn); grandchildren, Marc, Jay, Allison, Danny,
Dylan, Brandy, Jody, Richard, Cathy and 14 great
grandchildren.
In
addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Harold
Pooley; sister, Evelyn Macleod and son-in-law Larry
Legere.
A
special thank you to Muriel's caregivers, Helen and Mary Jane. The
family would like to extend a thank you to the staff and management of
Lakeview Manor for their excellent care during Muriel's
stay.
Due
to Covid 19 restrictions there will not be any visitation or funeral
service held.
A
celebration of life will be held at a later date and time
that will be announced.
Interment will be in Fairhaven
Cemetery.
