It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Erik Dover at his residence in Riverview New Brunswick on Thursday January 5th at the age of 37. Erik was the son of Mie and Jim Dover, brother of Maria and Lene as well as the father of Karma, Cyrus and Kane with former partner Jen Forsyth.

Born in London Ontario on May 21, 1985, Erik moved with his family to Simcoe Ontario while in elementary school. In his twenties, Erik enjoyed the camaraderie and physical demands of working as a Rodman on many tall buildings in Toronto - once looking directly into the eyes of a fighter jet pilot as he flew by in formation during the CNE air show. In 2014, Erik sacrificed the career in construction that he was proud of and moved to Riverview New Brunswick in pursuit of better care for his children.

Erik enjoyed very much working Saturdays at the Moncton Market. Last summer, "Uncle Erik" especially enjoyed the company of his nephews, Odin, Viggo and Felix, as well as his niece Liva, during a family reunion "Down East". In his final days, he was busy enjoying the antics of his puppy Trigger who Buddy the cat, and Erik, were trying to train.

Friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home on Friday January 13th from 6pm to 8 pm. Those unable to attend are encouraged to visit the Funeral Home’s website – www.tuttlefuneralhome.ca - to leave a message of condolence.

In memory of Erik, we know he would have preferred donations be made to organizations that provide services related to mental health and animal care.
