Gerald Jospeh Sweeney of Moncton, NB passed away at his residence on Monday,  January 23, 2023 at the age of 74. Born in Saint John, NB he was a son of the late Norbert and Ida (Vienneau) Sweeney.

 Gerald was a very special man. He was first and foremost a great father to his daughters Linda and Cheryl. Gerald was a great drummer in his younger years and showed in his love of music. In his later years he was an avid hunter and fisherman, and lived his life to the fullest.

 Survived by his daughters, Cheryl Robichaud (Emery) of Moncton, Linda Sweeney (Joshua Reynolds) of Dieppe; brother, Patrick Sweeney (Patricia) of Moncton; grandchildren, Nicholas Robichaud (Chantal Mason) and Cody Robichaud; nephew Chad Gautreau.

 In addition to his parents, Gerald was predeceased by his brother, Tom Sweeney.

 A Celebration of Life will be held at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview, NB on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.

 Interment will be at Saint Jospeh's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saint John, NB at a later date.

 Donations in Gerald's memory made to the Diabetic Association would be appreciated by the family.
